I’ve made no secret of my love affair with married stories. The world is full of beautiful romance stories that end with “happily ever after.” And we love those stories, with their newness and tension and happy endings, but sometimes I long for more. For a love story that’s stood the test of time. For a relationship that’s weathering storms, and still holding fast. For a couple whose vows are called to account, and yet still choosing one another. For two imperfect people being led and shaped by a perfect God.
Sometimes I want a story that looks more like mine.
As I talk to other readers, I’m discovering I’m not alone in that desire. And yet, it can be hard to find these stories that feel all too rare in the world of fiction. Maybe you feel the same, and you’re not even sure where to start looking!
Well, say no more. This month, I’m thrilled to be able to partner with a handful of fellow writers of clean, Christian fiction to offer a group promo. Each of us will be giving away a free gift: a story, article, devotional… A sample of our writing. But my ultimate hope is that having us all gathered in one place will give you a starting point in your search for married stories.
